Maxillofacial
Maxillofacial surgery most commonly works with defects acquired as a result of trauma or oncological and congenital disorders. In addition to taking the personal features of the patient’s anatomy into account, the design process of personalized implants in this field requires special attention to symmetry and aesthetics. With a vast digital library of anatomical data, our bioengineers are able to recreate symmetry even in cases when it cannot be determined by analyzing the patient’s own CT/MRI scan. The endoprosthetics are manufactured from medical-grade titanium powder. For temporomandibular joint reconstruction, our implants also include parts made from UHMWPE (ultra high molecular weight polyethylene), a lightweight material used to establish a long-lasting friction pair with titanium and achieve natural jaw movement.
